Prayer

“Our prayers have no expiration date. You never know when, where, or how God will answer.”

Onward to the End

2 Timothy 4:7  “I fought the good fight, I finished the race, I kept the faith!”

We all need good examples to follow, so I thank God for showing me that it is still possible to run the race of life and run it to the very end!

1. THE GOOD FIGHT – How can we know which battles to fight and which to avoid? God is able to lead us to the battles that are RIGHT and NECESSARY to fight. Not only that, He will also give us what we need to fight well – strength, armor, strategy, and guidance. All this and more is found in Christ Jesus! Let Him fight our battles!

2. THE FINISHED RACE – To make it to the end of a race, we must prepare, practice, and cross the finish line. We get prepared by being teachable and having an active desire for growth. We learn as long as we are alive, as they say! We practice by doing our small daily tasks the best we can. We shouldn’t get lazy but should be faithful and persistent. We cross the finish line if we don’t stop running. Don’t give up! My prayer is that we will run the race to the end. And yours? Let us be persistent, steadfast, and unshakable, so we can finish the race.

3. THE FAITH KEPT – I have always been fascinated by heroes of the faith. I have studied them, learned from them, admired them! I pray that I would be one of them. How do we keep the faith? First, God wants us to put our trust in Him. Then the second part is ACTION – works done in faith! Remember that faith without works is dead. Don’t rest on your past success. A faith that is kept is one that is always active and ready. It is used every day as we walk step by step.

My prayer for each of us is that we can join Paul in saying these words at the end of our life and ministry.

“I fought the good fight, I finished the race, I kept the faith!”

I am grateful for Sebastian and Georgina’s lifelong work and service, for all they have done and achieved in their ministry to us. They are faithfully finishing their race and handing over the baton to us. May the Lord help us to do the same as they have done, faithfully serving to the very end.

Let this be our life, too!

For Christ, Darko Adamek
